BALTIMORE — Baltimore police say a man who was shot after pulling a gun on an officer is on life support.
Police say officers investigating a suspicious person report approached two men early Sunday, and noticed one man, 26-year-old Steven Antwon Grant, was holding a gun.
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi says Grant ran off, but 30-year-old James Montez Lucas brandished a .22-caliber carbine with a banana clip. Police say after Lucas refused to drop the weapon, an officer fired, striking Lucas multiple times. Lucas is on life support at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
