INDIANAPOLIS — An IMPD police officer was critically injured after being shot in the face while making a traffic stop Sunday morning. 29-year-old David Moore, a five-year veteran who serves on IMPD’s North District, was shot 4 times altogether.
According to WTHR Indianapolis, Moore was shot twice in the face. Doctors say that the next 24-48 hours will be critical to his recovery.
“I heard ‘pop, pop, pop,’ then I’m like, ‘Okay,’ and then I heard ‘pop, pop’,” witness Preston Richardson told WTHR.
INCNow reports that IMPD has arrested a suspect in the shooting. Thomas Hardy, 60, was taken into custody without incident for further questioning.
