LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Video shows the moment a suspect’s backpack became engulfed in flames after a TASER was deployed by an Arkansas state trooper.
According to 40/29 News, the trooper attempted to pull over Christopher Gaylor, 38, as his motorcycle did not have a license plate. Gaylor refused to stop and attempted to elude officers, traveling at speeds up to 100 mph before hopping off his motorcycle and fleeing on foot.
The trooper deployed a TASER to subdue the suspect, but the shot caused Gaylor’s backpack to explode, hitting a gallon of gasoline Gaylor stashed in the bag.
40/29 News reported Gaylor is in the hospital but is expected to make a full recovery. He will be charged with felony fleeing, failure to register a vehicle, no liability insurance, driving with a suspended license, and reckless driving.
