STREETSBORO, Ohio — An Ohio officer is getting high praise on social media after aiding a man in a wheelchair with his groceries.
According to the Streetsboro Police Department’s Facebook page, police received multiple calls of a wheelchair-bound man attempting to cross the street near a retail store.
Officer Tom Ondecker responded and decided to help the man carry the groceries he had purchased back to the care center he resides at nearly a half-mile away.
A civilian, Ricky Haylett, was kind enough to follow the pair and snap the photos. He also drove Officer Ondecker back to his patrol vehicle, according to the post.
