HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, Ark. — A group of Arkansas State Troopers showed up to help celebrate a 10-year-old’s birthday party, USA Today reported.

After Toxey’s mother, Angela Andrews, sent out 21 invitations for his birthday party and no one showed up, Cpl David Forthman, along with Troopers Terry Sawyer, Kyle Sheldon, Brandon Cook, and Tim Callison decided to step in.

“I cried a little bit because I was so happy they did that for me,” Toxey told the publication.

The officers brought Toxey a cake, some presents, and played basketball with the boy during the celebration.

The Facebook post on the department’s page about the party had over 6,000 reactions.

“We all want to make a difference, and these troopers showed today that ‪#‎kindnessmatters‬,” the department wrote.
