WEST ALLIS, Wis. — An officer is getting high praise after his actions during a traffic stop.
According to WISN, the officer, who wishes to remain anonymous, stopped a man Saturday after seeing that his 6-year-old daughter was riding in the vehicle without a car seat.
The officer used his own money to purchase the item for the father, who was reportedly struggling financially.
“He [the officer] was very humbled by it, but said, ‘I don’t want the recognition. I didn’t do it for the recognition. I did it because it was the right thing to do,’” West Allis Deputy Police Chief Chris Botsch told WISN.
