Intro: Founded in 2001, Wolfcom has launched several innovative products for private investigators, law enforcement, military, and consumers alike. Over the years, our core experience and expertise has been in audio and video, security surveillance, night vision cameras, digital video recorders, and covert pinhole wireless spy cameras.

Where did your company name originate from?
I’ve always been impressed with Wolves. They have a soldier-like quality about them and an impressive command structure that they follow. Wolves have the ability to work together in a pack or alone. They know how to lead, follow and command. Wolves are resourceful creatures with an ability to survive against all elements of danger.

What was the inspiration behind starting your company?
My dog Wolfie, who passed away several years ago was the inspiration of my life. From her, I learned about love, patience, loyalty and compassion. She changed my life when I had lost all hope. It is because of Wolfie that I’ve become the person I am today. I named my company WOLFCOM to honor my best friend and I swore from the very first day that I would lead my company with honor, courage, and integrity.

What is your signature product and how does it work?
That will be our Patent pending Critical-Re-Connect Technology that is in our WOLFCOM Vision body camera. Critical Re-Connect works as a two camera system. The headset camera records the main event and the secondary camera acts as an emergency backup. In the event the headset camera is ripped away, the secondary camera will resume recording of the incident. This technology is by far the single most important feature of a body camera today.

Why do you believe your products are essential to the EMS/fire/police community?
Unlike other body cameras out in the market today, our products are designed to be more than just a body camera. First responders can use the WOLFCOM body cameras as a tool to photograph crime scenes, property damage, and bodily injuries. They can also use its GPS capability to allow officers to mark locations of tossed items during a pursuit. It’s designed to be a valuable tool that does more than just record video.

What has been the biggest challenge your company has faced?
Our biggest challenge has been overcoming growing pains. When we first launched the WOLFCOM Vision, we had no idea how successful it would be. Thousands of orders poured in. We had trouble keeping up with demand. Now that we’ve overcome that hurdle, we can look back and see how much we’ve grown.

What makes your company unique?
We are a company of youth, power, energy, and ideas. The ability to think and move as quickly as a pack of wolves has enabled us to create body cameras that are still years ahead of the competition. At our core, we are problems solvers and optimistic dreamers and we believe that nothing in this world is impossible.

What is the most rewarding part of serving the first responder community?
Hearing back from our customers about how our body cameras have saved them. That is the most rewarding part of our work.

Do you support any charitable organizations within public safety?
We’re actually about to start a charitable organization of our own. We’ve learned how difficult it is for police agencies to obtain funding for body cameras so we’ve decided to launch BodyCameraDonations.com to allow citizens to donate body cameras to their local police department. The site should be active by August 2015. A percentage of the proceeds will go towards ending animal cruelty.

Is there any fun fact or trivia that you’d like to share with our users about you or your company?
My very first Christmas present was a book called Peter and the Wolf that I received when I was five. Little did I know that one day my nickname would be Wolf and that I would later name my dog and my company after wolves.

What’s next for your company? Any upcoming new projects or initiatives?
Yes, we will soon be launching WOLFCOM CLOUD to offer cloud storage for law enforcement.
