Two things I see officers doing relative to handcuffing that amaze me no end.
I always see a suspect being searched and then handcuffed. What are we thinking? If you know they are taking the ride, cuff ‘em up first and then search.
Also, once they are handcuffed, why would you want to open a window of opportunity for a suspect by uncuffing him so you can swap out your cuffs with the transport unit? Think about it.
