WALTERBORO, S.C. — The actor who played young Anakin Skywalker in the “Star Wars” prequel was arrested Wednesday after deputies say he led them on a high-speed chase topping speeds of more than 100 mph, according to the Washington Post.

Actor Jake Lloyd, who competed in pod races as a boy in “Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace,” is accused of speeding, driving off road and hitting trees on Interstate 95 in South Carolina to evade authorities who were chasing him.

Colleton County Sheriff Sgt. Kyle Strickland told sources that at one point 26-year-old Lloyd was driving head-on into traffic. Lloyd did not appear to be intoxicated or on drugs at the time of his arrest.
