DALLAS, Tex. — A 3-year-old boy shot during an armed standoff between a man and Dallas police has died.
The man also died. It’s not year clear whether he died of police gunfire or by his own hand.
Police say the standoff began about 1:30 am (Central time) today at a northeast Dallas apartment with a domestic disturbance report. Police arrived to find a woman leaving the house, holding a child. But there was still another child inside with the man, who police say had barricaded himself inside the house.
An hours-long standoff began, ending about 7:30 am (Central time). That’s when police say the man shot the boy and, hit by police bullets, shot himself.
