LOS ANGELES — A pursuit in the Los Angeles area came to a jarring end Thursday when a California Highway Patrol officer successfully used a PIT maneuver, causing the suspect’s pickup truck to flip onto its roof.
Aerial video from KTLA 5 showed the cruiser hitting the back of the truck, causing it to spin and flip. An officer then broke the driver’s side window of the truck and pulled the suspect out by his leg.
The man was taken into custody after a short struggle, according to KTLA 5. It’s not clear what led up to the pursuit.
