A grand jury has indicted seven suspects in the serial bank robberies that have plagued the District and Prince George’s County.

While five of the suspects have been in custody for weeks, two others were arrested today during a series of raids by D.C. police, U.S. Marshals and the FBI. One suspect was arrested in Prince George’s and a second was taken into custody in Southeast Washington.

An eighth suspect remains on the loose, while a ninth man has pleaded guilty to charges including racketeering.

The robberies began Jan. 22 and continued through June 29. Four banks in the District, one in Hyattsville and one in Temple Hills were hit during that time. Investigators say those robberies netted more than $361,000.
