HUNTINGTON, Calif. - Police didn’t have to go far to find an alleged bank robber - they say he was drinking a beer at a bar in the same strip mall.
Ronald Langdale put down a $5 bill for a Budweiser draft at Mario’s Restaurant, which is in the same shopping center as the Bank of America, which was robbed Thursday.
He still had half a beer left when police arrested him.
Sergeant Mike Mello said Langdale had the loot with him in a white plastic bag. Langdale was identified by witnesses as the man who told a teller he had a weapon and wanted cash. He fled on foot.
The bartender said Langdale was silent but didn’t appear to be hiding from anyone.
