HERNANDO, Fla. — A Hernando man is facing an aggravated child abuse charge after he allegedly fractured the femur of a 4-week-old boy during a diaper change.
The child’s maternal grandmother, who cares for the infant while the mom attends school, told investigators that she feeds the infant, and that Paul Anthony Lajeunesse, 20, would change the child’s diaper afterward. The routine was day and night, as Lajeunesse does not work, the arrest report said.
During questioning, Lajeunesse said he did not mean to break the child’s leg. He said he was angry for the interruption of his X-box game, and yanked up on the right leg of the child roughly, which led to the injury, the arrest report said.
