VANCOUVER, Canada — A viral video capturing a horrendous parking job helped cops in Vancouver make an arrest in a hit-and-run case.
The Vancouver Sun reported officers responded to the scene of a hit and run June 16. A white Porsche Cayenne SUV hit a parked car and fled.
Police didn’t have much to go on from there, until a video posted online was sent to the department.
In the video, a driver with the same vehicle reported in the crime can be seen attempting — and hilariously failing — to pull inside a garage.
It didn’t take long for investigators to “connect the dots,” a department spokesman told the publication.
Officers were able to use the video to identify the driver — a 16-year-old who is now faces charges including driving without a license, hit and run, and driving without due care.
