Lieutenant Bill Henry of the Fulshear Police Department responded to remove a small alligator from a resident’s front porch, according to the report.

As shown in the body camera footage, when Henry arrived at the residence, he was directed to the front porch where the alligator was found next to the welcome mat.

“I’ve got a pole but this one’s kind of small, so I got it,” Henry is heard saying in the video, opting to handle the situation without additional equipment.

Henry managed to pick up the alligator with his bare hands and removed it from the property.

“Look at you, you’re a hero,” one resident can be heard commenting as he carried the alligator away.

“You can take the boy out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the boy,” The Fulshear Police Department stated in reference to Henry’s hands-on approach.
