The DEA joined the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department in a pair of morning raids that resulted in the seizure of weapons, drugs, computers, cash, and the arrest of six people in California’s Bay Area.
The Oakland Tribune reports that among those arrested early Tuesday was 66-year-old Elliott “Cisco” Valderrama, who is said to be the president of the Oakland Hells Angels chapter. Also arrested was Gavin Malone, believed to be the chapter’s sergeant-at-arms.
In a case of good old fashioned police work, an investigation was commenced when two Deputies patrolling their beat detected an odor of marijuana emanating from a property. Alameda County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Marty Neideffer told KTVU TV News that they then turned the case over to the Alameda County Narcotics Task Force, which conducted a month and a half long investigation, culminating in yesterday’s effort.
