STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A College of Staten Island employee died of a heart attack yesterday after a struggle with a cop who had caught him smoking pot in a campus bathroom, police sources said.

Cory Holmes, 39, a food -services worker, wrested the cop’s gun away during the fight, but no shots were fired during the 12:15 p.m. incident on the Willowbrook campus.

He was pronounced dead at Richmond University Medical Center.

Two civilians helped the cop cuff Holmes, sources said. The officer was treated for cuts and bruises at Staten Island University Hospital.
