SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police Department was investigating an apparent suicide after an officer was found dead in his patrol vehicle, FOX 29 reported.
The officer failed to report to the station at the end of his shift and was not responding to calls.
He was described by the department as a 10-year veteran of the force. His body was found inside a patrol car in an industrial area.
A police spokesperson said authorities believe he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, but the incident is under investigation.
