POWHATAN, Va. — A Virginia K-9 found two missing children lost in the woods while playing a “chase game” on Saturday.
According to USA Today, parents and neighbors spent 45 minutes searching for two 8-year-old kids before calling police.
Deputies and Bane the K-9 searched a home where the children had been before entering the woods. From there, Bane was able to track down the children’s location in 15 minutes.
“As soon as the children were home safe he was back on patrol eager for the next call for service,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a Facebook post. “Job well done K-9 Bane!”
Bane enjoyed Chick-fil-A ice cream as his reward.
