RICHMOND, Texas — An altercation at a bar in Richmond turned ugly Thursday night with off-duty Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office deputies getting involved in the action.

According a release from the sheriff’s office, the incident at the Z-Bar stemmed from a husband and wife team arguing with a woman who was a part of another group at the bar. The argument turned heated with the husband and wife being asked to leave the bar.

During the incident the husband allegedly pushed and knocked over the deputy who was working off-duty. At this point another deputy began to help the first deputy cuff and arrest the husband.

Additional law enforcement were soon called to the bar to assist the deputies.

The wife soon intervened on behalf of her husband, punching a deputy in the head. That didn’t turn out well for the wife, who was wrestled to the ground herself and handcuffed.

The husband and wife, Thomas and Meghan Moseley, were each arrested and booked for Assault on a Peace Officer, Resisting Arrest and Public Intoxication.

“Our deputies did a great job in a stressful situation,” said Sheriff Troy E. Nehls.

The incident can be seen in a video supplied by the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.
