ND officer who suffered fatal medical emergency on duty ID’d

WEST FARGO, N.D. — A North Dakota police officer who died Tuesday afternoon has been identified as Lt. Adam Gustafson, according to West Fargo Police. Gustafson suffered a medical emergency while at the police station and later died, the report says. 

“Lieutenant Gustafson will be remembered for his contagious smile and laughter, along with his dedication, teamwork and service to the City of West Fargo,” Police Chief Denis Otterness said in a statement. “Lieutenant Gustafson has made a lasting impact within our department and he will never be forgotten.” 

Gustafson had been with the department for over 10 years.
