TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick Jr., arrested last week on two misdemeanor charges, is accused of harassing the University of Alabama police officer who previously pulled him over.
Kirkpatrick, 20, is charged with harassing communications and doxing, both misdemeanors.
He was arrested Friday, and released from the Tuscaloosa County Jail on $600 bond.

The Gadsden native was ruled out for the Texas A&M game after he was suspended for a violation of team rules.
Coach Kalen DeBoer on Monday said, “He’s not with us. We have an expectation and a standard in our program.”
According to court records made public Tuesday, UAPD police Officer Christopher Fuerch reported that on Oct. 20, he received a message from Kirkpatrick on Facebook messenger that stated, “Ayy bitch ass n****? Text me back don’t be no bitch!”
The officer said he was immediately alarmed because in November 2025 Fuerch attempted a traffic stop in which Kirkpatrick reportedly fled from police.
After receiving the message, Fuerch went to Kirkpatrick’s Facebook page to block him. Fuerch said he saw on the page a photograph of himself with his wife and children with the caption, “Dis him?”
The officer said the post caused “severe concern for the overall safety and well-being of himself and his family given the substantial audience and public following Kirkpatrick maintains as a football player for the University of Alabama.”
He was also received citations for not wearing a seat belt, tinted windows and reasonable and prudent speed.
The officers reported they tried to stop the white Mercedes that was “exhibiting excessive speed and reckless driving.”
The officers were on foot, Fuerch wrote in that deposition, and tried to have the sedan pull into the ride-share lane in front of the police precinct on The Strip.
The Mercedes began moving toward the ride-share lane and them pulled back toward the driving lane.
The incident was captured on surveillance video, as well as Fuerch’s body camera.
The outcome of those charges were not made public.
Kirkpatrick in June 2026 again was arrested on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident. He has a November court date in that case.
His attorney has not yet responded to a request for comment on Kirkpatrick’s latest legal troubles.
Kirkpatrick has been a key contributor in the secondary this season as a rotational player who can fill in at safety or the “Husky” nickel defender position.
He was also suspended for the final seven games of the 2025 season after an arrest in late October.
Kirkpatrick has tallied four tackles this season. He’s the son of the former Alabama All-American and national champion with the same name.
