PRINCE GEORGE, Va. — A state trooper was killed after he crashed his patrol car Monday.
WTVR reports 27-year-old Nathan-Michael W. Smith was responding to what was initially believed to be a call of a fellow trooper in need of CPR.
The trooper’s vehicle flipped and crashed into a wooded area, hitting several trees.
Police are investigating the incident. The call the trooper responded to was later discovered to be an officer giving CPR, not requiring it.
