BONNEY LAKE, Wash. — Police are searching for a suspect who shot at a local sheriff’s department Saturday night.

Q13Fox reported that the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department was struck by five bullets while two deputies were working inside.

“If someone has the twisted idea that this is an opportune time to strike out at law enforcement, they will learn that they are sorely mistaken,” Pierce County Sheriff Paul Pastor said in a statement.

Officials told the news station that the suspect or suspects parked their car then fired into the station from 100 feet away.

No one was hurt. An investigation and manhunt is ongoing.
