The new iPhones and Andriod phones are equipped with every fancy feature you could imagine. You can even control your TV with a downloadable app these days.
But here’s a new one that could put you in danger. It’s called the Police Scanner app.
It allows iPhone and Android users to listen to police, fire and EMS activities around the world from the palm of their hand. Like a scanner, all you do is type in the county you want and the phones can tap in.
You are being monitored by criminals in your area! If you arrest someone and find a scanner on them, you could add illegal use of police radio in some places in the country. It’s not just ambulance chasers that have them!
The Police Scanner app costs $2.99, although other similar versions may be available for free.
