StealthSCOPE™

Maintaining stealth and visual awareness during a tactical situation in pitch darkness is the difference between a positive outcome and a potential nightmare.

Zistos Corporation’s new StealthSCOPE™ design is a powerful and broad-spectrum tool that will find applications in many tactical scenarios including barricades, hostage and active shooter situations.

The new StealthSCOPE™ is a videoscope that combines a powerful internal 980 nanometer Infrared (IR) laser light source—completely invisible to humans—with digitally-enhanced, low-light video signal processing. Its 9mm diameter allows it to be inserted into small openings and tight areas.

One of the main features of the StealthSCOPE™ is that it can operate in a standalone mode without the need for any other components, making it rapidly deployable. This makes the scope ideally suited for applications where a team is inserted into an environment and needs instant tactical surveillance to better assess unknown conditions as in the clearing of a building or facility. The scope is also compact enough to be holstered or stored in a pouch attached to a belt or vest worn by the operator allowing the user to participate in other functions.

“Our range of products are not only as technologically advanced as anything out there, but they’re built to withstand whatever field conditions or a tactical, life-threatening situation can throw at them,” says Bob Levine, President of Zistos Corporation of Holbrook, NY. “We take very seriously the idea that professionals count on us everyday to do their jobs safely and more effectively.”

The StealthSCOPE™ is available in lengths from .5 to 3 meters long. It can generate images of objects and individuals as far as 20+ feet away in total darkness thanks to leading edge video processing technology and our new IR laser design. It’s battery-powered and has a built in high resolution video display while the rubber shrouded monocular eliminates any glow from the screen to maintain maximum stealth.

The scope features a four-way, articulating tip and a semi-rigid flex-and-stay guide tube which holds its shape. This makes it easier and safer than ever to see around corners, over walls, under doors, and into any large area through a small opening.

The scope is also fully compatible with external components such as LCD screens, recorders and transmitters, including a Zistos WalkAbout LCD monitor fitted to the back of an operator’s vest allowing other members of the team to share the visual intelligence. A variety of different rigid guide tube accessories are available that allow the semi-rigid or flexible scope to be used in a completely horizontal orientation.
