EL PASO, Tx. — A driver slammed into the back of an El Paso police patrol car on Interstate 10 East on the West Side.
About 2:30 a.m. Monday, a pickup ran into the back of the unoccupied police car that was blocking a lane and had its lights flashing while officers handled another accident on the freeway near Sunland Park Drive.
The crash heavily damaged the police car and caused the white 1999 Toyota Tundra to roll several times. A 31-year-old man driving the truck was taken to University Medical Center of El Paso in unknown condition. The man’s name was not released.
An investigation continues.
