Video: Improving your hand speed and strength

In this video tactical tip, Diana Rathborne of the Minnesota Kali Group — alongside demonstration partner Peter Hedrick of MPI Protective Services — offers some thoughts on a conditioning drill that can help you improve your hand speed and strength.

Diana is a certified martial arts instructor and is a current instructor for law enforcement, military, corrections and security personnel. She has been teaching martial arts since 1996 and been involved in training for security and law enforcement since 1993. She teaches weekly classes at the Minnesota Kali Group on Filipino weaponry and knife fighting, Muay Thai, Mixed Martial arts and Women’s Kickboxing. She teaches quarterly Self Defense courses. She has both conducted and assisted Rick Faye on numerous seminars for martial arts, self defense, law enforcement and corrections personnel. One of the top female martial arts instructors in the country, she also teaches nationally & internationally. Diana also is the lead coach and corner person for the MKG fight competitors. Her main areas of expertise for law enforcement pertain to her extensive training and instruction in the areas of Edged Weapon Defense, Officer Survival/Maximum Force Empty Hands and Ground Defense.
