MONTEBELLO, Calif. – A police officer is getting some well-deserved praise for helping an elderly man who was causing a disturbance at a bank.

Officer Robert Josett arrived to the scene Sept. 22 after receiving reports of a man causing a disturbance, according to the department. Josett discovered the 92-year-old man was distraught after attempting to withdraw money from his account.

Per policy, the bank denied his request because his ID was expired. Josett escorted the elderly man to the DMV and helped him renew his identification. He was then able to withdraw money from the bank.
