GREEN BAY, Wis. — Sometimes a simple selfie is all you need to retrieve a stolen phone.

Dominic Junio posted on Facebook that his friend, Hannah Schroeder, lost her phone at a gas station on July 9. The person in possession of the phone contacted them and asked them to meet up, but not without a cash reward.

Schroeder, whose brother is a police officer, told them to get the police involved, NBC 26 reported.

Officer Conley went with Schroeder and Junio to the meeting spot, but decided to send a stronger message to the person in possession of the phone.

Along with a stern-faced selfie was a message that read: “Meet us or I will notify your PO about your shenanigans officer Conley GBPD.”

Schroeder receive her phone without incident. Junio said he appreciated the officer’s help.

“I think it was awesome because I’m sure they’re busy guys and that might seem like a waste of time, but who knows what the guy could’ve tried to pull if they weren’t there,” Junio told NBC 26. “Because of them it went very smoothly and I met an awesome cop out of it all too.”
