CINCINNATI, Ohio — Cincinnati police said they didn’t find a gun on a man arrested Sunday after he barricaded himself inside a Pleasant Ridge apartment building, claiming he was armed.
Police did not identify the man, who they suspected might have been involved in a robbery earlier in the day.
Officers went to question the man about 5 p.m. in connection with the robbery.
When they arrived at the apartment on East Woodmont Avenue, he slammed the door in their faces, Lt. Randy Webb said.
The man said he had a gun and would shoot. More police arrived, armed with rifles. Webb said he talked with the man, who came out peacefully at about 6 p.m. The man was handcuffed and arrested.
No further information was available Sunday night.
