Relatives of man killed by London police outraged by lack of prosecution

The Associated Press

LONDON- Relatives of an innocent man shot dead by police in London said that they may go to court and challenge the decision not to charge the officers.

The incident happened almost a year ago, when police mistook a Brazilian electrician for a suicide bomber. They pumped seven bullets into his head on a subway.

The prosecutor says that, while errors were made, the officers who opened fire did so because they’d been told the man was a suicide bomber who’d otherwise blow up the train. He said that nothing appears to rise to the level of a crime.

Outraged relatives of the victim are wondering how police can just kill a man and later call it a mistake. They also say they’ve yet to see any evidence in the case.
