DETROIT (AP) - An off-duty police officer working as a bouncer at a strip club was shot and killed while trying to break up a fight, police said.
The shooting occurred late Wednesday at Sting, a bar in southwest Detroit, police spokesman James Tate said.
Sgt. John Claybourne said police arrested the suspected shooter late Thursday morning.
Police identified the officer as Ken Daniels, 28, and said he was a member of the department’s tactical services unit.
Daniels died at Detroit Receiving Hospital, Tate said.
