NORFOLK, Va. — A goat, briefly, ran wild.
Norfolk police officers were led on a chase by the four-legged escapee Thursday afternoon, according to Norfolk Police Department.
The animal had escaped from it’s owner around 3:30 p.m. Two animal control officers were able to apprehend the goat a short time later.
It stayed at Norfolk Animal Care Center before being adopted by a Mathews County resident after the owner discovered he couldn’t keep the animal in the city.
Thankfully for the goat, police spared the animal of any charges.
