CHICAGO — The Chicago Police Department’s Internal Affairs Division is investigating a video obtained by WBEZ that appears to show Chicago police officers allowing a person to be taunted by a group of bystanders.

The video was posted on YouTube on March 19, 2011 by user King-Dubb, but both the video and username have since disappeared from the video-sharing site.

In the footage, the doors of a Chicago Police Department vehicle are open and a young man in the back seat is shielding his face from view as a group of onlookers are shouting insults and throwing up apparent gang signs to the camera. At one point, a voice can be heard saying to a camera-holder “Get a close-up.”

At least two police officers can be seen in the video.
