VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A 33-year-old man is being held at the Virginia Beach Correctional Center without bond after attacking a city police officer at an Oceanfront coffee shop Tuesday morning, police said.
Antoine Omar Wynn, of the 2800 block of Victoria Ave., Norfolk was charged with felony assault and battery of a law enforcement officer, destruction of property, disorderly conduct and providing a false identity to a law enforcement officer, according to a news release.
A sergeant was attempting to order coffee at Bad Ass Coffee on 18th Street at about 7:15 a.m. when he was “aggressively approached” by Wynn, police spokeswoman Tonya Pierce said.

Wynn was loud and the sergeant asked him to step outside because of the commotion he was causing inside the shop.
That’s when Wynn started pummeling the sergeant, Pierce said. One employee of the shop intervened while another called 911, she said.
Wynn then ran out of the shop and the officer chased him, catching him about 100 yards away, she said.
