CONROE, Texas — A patrol car driven by a Montgomery County sheriff’s deputy struck and killed two women today along Interstate 45 in Conroe.
The predawn accident happened as the just-off-duty deputy was driving home.
Conroe police say the victims had gotten out of their vehicle after it struck a concrete divider -- and they were trying to cross I-45.
They’ve been identified as 20-year-old Kelsey Vogel of Panorama Village and 20-year-old Danielle Irvin of Willis.
Deputy Jack Allen Hunter suffered minor injuries in the accident.
