Dockswell later sent messages to the woman apologizing for hurting her, according to the report. The woman’s brother told Jupiter police that Dockswell had handcuffed both him and his sister in the past, but as a joke.
The woman told police that while Dockswell had her handcuffed, he looked at photos of her friends on her MySpace page, particularly focusing on the women in bathing suits.
After about 20 minutes, she freed herself, and he sent her a text message asking when they could finish that project, the report says.
Dockswell was released from the Palm Beach County Jail Saturday after posting $25,000 bail.
A seven-year veteran of the school police department, he has coordinated its annual toy drive for several years. District spokesman Nat Harrington said Dockswell has been sent home with pay until the conclusion of the investigation.
He added that following the Jupiter police investigation, the district will conduct its own investigation to determine Dockswell’s future as an employee.
