Ball caps can be great hiding places for weapons and drugs and searching them is crucial. Take the searching slowly and avoid rushing your hands under the cap visor or running your fingers quickly along the inner liner. Those areas have been known to be rigged with razor blades, needles and other sharp objects that can slice flesh and cause serious injury and cause a dangerous distraction to your focus on the suspect.
