SUPERIOR TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man appearing in court on Taser possession chages was remanded in jail on a $100,000 bond after accusations he emailed threats to police while free on bond.

Trial Court Judge David Swartz said Tristan Mealing, 38, posed a danger to deputies during the hearing Thursday.

Madison Tristan Mealing, responsible for a series of anti-police YouTube videos, was free on bond after being charged in November with possessing a Taser.

Mealing posted a video in 2010 that celebrated the fatal shooting of two officers, and another suggested violence against more officers. “5 Detroit police officers shot this morning, 1 dies. Next killing spot? Washtenaw County P.D,” one clip’s title read.

New videos went online last week and after Washtenaw County Detective Kevin Parviz asked to have them removed, he began to receive threatening emails – the first one arriving just two hours after he put in the request to YouTube, he said.

“You and your cronies need to stop stalking me on YouTube,” one email said.
