The suspect slipped out of his handcuffs when the officers pulled over for car trouble

TULSA, Okla — A news station was at the scene of a carjacking investigation and caught the moment a suspect stole a patrol car.

Police were investigating an armed carjacking Sunday when they spotted the car and pursued it, leading to the arrest of one of the armed men, Fox23 reported.

Cody Rose, 25, was taken into custody and put in the back of the squad car.

According to the news station, Rose managed to slip out of his handcuffs and steal the patrol car when police pulled over due to car trouble.

Rose’s getaway was brief - he quickly crashed the car into a ditch. He was taken into custody again and is now held on multiple charges.
