WASHINGTON — On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF), in partnership with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), will host a full-day forum focused on reducing traffic-related fatalities and injuries among law enforcement officers.
The event, titled Law Enforcement Traffic Fatalities: A Solutions-Based Forum, will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET at the National Law Enforcement Museum in Washington, D.C. Virtual attendance is also available.
Prompted by a troubling rise in line-of-duty deaths due to traffic incidents, the forum will spotlight training, technology and policy solutions to enhance officer safety on roadways. In 2024, NLEOMF tracked 46 officer traffic-related deaths and over 200 injury incidents involving vehicles. A surge in roadside struck-by crashes and pursuit-related incidents has added to the urgency.
The event will feature presentations, technology demos and panel discussions with leading voices in traffic safety, including:

Free in-person registration includes lunch, exhibits access, and a special screening of Service and Sacrifice. Virtual sessions will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m.
Agency leaders, trainers, risk managers and public safety advocates are encouraged to attend.
