LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas police released body camera video of the shooting of an armed robbery suspect by an officer last Saturday.
According to local news station KVVU, police gave verbal commands to Steven Aguirre, 20, who had a gun holstered on his hip. Initially, he complied with officers and got on his knees, but then reached for his loaded weapon.
Officer Darko Milanovic then fired a shot at Aguirre’s thigh. The suspect was taken into custody and treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Milanovik was placed on administrative leave, per policy, pending review of the shooting.
