BATON ROUGE — Nick Tullier’s 18-year-old son wonders if he’ll ever hear his father’s voice again.
“Will we still be able to hang out together and just chat? I have no clue,” Trent Tullier tells CNN in a feature posted online Friday.
Trent Tullier’s father was one of six law enforcement officers shot by a gunman in July in an ambush on Airline Highway in Baton Rouge that took the lives of three lawmen.
The family allowed CNN to visit them in the hospital room where Nick Tullier, 41, has undergone intense treatment to save his life. The family faces a daily struggle, riding emotional highs and lows with each new report from doctors.
