KNOXVILLE - Officers who arrested a mother for driving under the influence comforted her child with snacks and a happy meal.
The Knoxville Police Department posted photos to Facebook capturing officers handing the boy apple juice, goldfish, gummy sharks and a happy meal as he sat in the backseat of his mother’s vehicle.
The department called the Wednesday arrest “heartbreaking.” The boy was later turned over to his grandmother, according to the report.
