LIVERMORE, Calif. — A 6-year-old girl who lost her mom Christmas day is getting some help from Livermore police and firefighters. While they can’t take away the enormous loss, they went out of their way to try and give her the Christmas she missed.
“What can I say? This was a 6-year-old girl who the first words out of her mouth were ‘Santa didn’t come because mommy wouldn’t wake up.’ It immediately broke my heart,” said Livermore Police Officer Dave Morris.
The Livermore Police Department released video showing them dropping off presents to the girl.
