LEWISTON, Maine — Two sergeants rescued a skunk after its head was stuck in a glass container, WMTW reported.
Sergeants Wayne Clifford and Derek St. Laurent responded to Nov. 12 calls of the trapped skunk.
Clifford was able to successfully free the skunk without hurting it. However, Clifford was not able to successfully escape from the skunk.
“Sgt. Clifford however had to explain to the arriving day watch officers at shift change why the station stinks,” Lewiston police wrote on their Facebook page. “Sgt. Clifford is now home soundly sleeping in his garage.”
