Autism + Police: Spectrum Shield Training
This is a video we put together for LA Speech & Language Therapy Center in partnership with D.O.P.E (De-escalating Officer Patrol Encounters) after their first weekend-long Spectrum Shield training session in California. The new program pairs young adults with autism with police officers for an innovative, hands-on learning experience meant to teach the students how to safely interact with law enforcement during traffic stops and other police encounters.
