CAMARILLO, Calif. — A Southern California teenager playing cops-and-robbers with a Glock .45-caliber pistol shot his 9-year-old stepbrother in face.
Doctors at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center in Thousand Oaks say the bullet struck the boy in the cheek and passed through the back of his jaw. There was only soft-tissue damage.
Ventura County sheriff’s Sgt. Craig Adford says the 13-year-old boy was playing with the younger boy in their Camarillo apartment early Wednesday when the weapon accidentally fired.
